Hi,
I have never used forums before so, I do apologize in advance if I mess up.
My name is Aaron and I am a 43 year old disabled male. I am mostly living out of a suv and building out a small trailer on a family members property in Ohio. I moved out of my apartment and into my jeep in June of 2017. One nice thing is I do have access to a bathroom and shower at anytime. When I start to travel I am sure that I will miss that a lot. I plan on going to the RTR and think it will be great to meet others that live the van life lifestyle. I wish everyone the best of luck.

Hi there, Aaron.  It's great you have family that let you work there.  A small trailer sounds like a great step.  How are you doing on your build?  I know several people from Ohio and one thing I know about them is that they LOVE Ohio.  I've visited Ohio and I don't quite understand that except that the people there are extra nice.  One thing that I found out just recently is that you can join the Moose club and camp free or nearly free at their lodges.  I say that because I remember that a lot of them were in Ohio and that might be helpful when you return to see your family.

Welcome and there are a lot of people here that know a lot about builds and such and I have found them most kind to be helpful.  I'm sure you will find the same.

Good luck!

Hi Aaron, I'm in the same boat as you are, this is my first forum as well, and my first type of social media. I am still unsure if I'm doing it right. No one has corrected me yet. I hope all goes well and you make it to the RTR. I plan on going, charting my rout now, maybe stopping at the Salton Sea.

Hi, wasanah2
The build is going okay. It is over budget and I expected it to be done about 2 months ago but, it should be functional and packed in a week or 2, I hope anyway. I will have to look into the Moose club, thanks for the info. I am not sure at this point in the build what to ask about. I think I am just going to have to live with the way it is setup and see how I like it. Also, I will most likely make changes after the RTR based on how I like it and other peoples feedback.
thanks
Aaron

I used to be afraid of messing things up, then I discovered mud wrestling, and now I mess things up just for the fun of it .
Just kidding   :D this is one of the most friendly forums I have visited. Don't worry about messing any thing up, just be yourself.

Welcome!
