I've moved a lot the last 3 years. I've already started posting here but figured I should at least say hi. I'm prepping for a FT life, and have a 16ft trailer. I'm just tying up a few loose ends before I start.<div><br></div><div>Steve</div>

<font class="Apple-style-span" size="4">hiya steve, and welcome! any idea of your "departure" date?</font>

Thanks. My departure date was end of March 2011, but has been delayed due to various complications. I'm set to be leaving sometime after that date still and will most likely hit the road by end of summer beginning of fall this year.

<font size="4">I don't know if you can or not, but I just set a date, wrote it down and I'm getting stuff done before then. That way, even if something comes up, you at least have everything done and can worry about whats holding ya back instead of that and trying to get a conversion done.</font> <font size="4">Best of luck to ya!</font><br>

Thanks. The date I wrote down was end of March 2011, lol. It's not that I'm being held back any longer so much as I've made my plans a bit more fluid due to uncertain circumstances. My reasons for pushing back are as follows.<div><br></div><div>1. IRS hit me for back taxes for 2008/2009. The money I paid to them was to go towards upgrades (solar panels, batteries) on my travel trailer).</div><div>2. I'm a contractor on an open ended contract which we thought would end in March. They need me for a bit longer</div><div>3. I'm selling land in CA and that will take time. Once the land sells the proceeds will go towards paying off my debt after the contract is over. Currently the value of my land is twice of my debt.&nbsp;</div><div>4. I recently secured a low int rate loan to pay off the IRS and some high int rate CC's. I now have the money to finish the TT upgrades again.</div>

I wanted to take the time here and now to Thank everyone for making me feel so Welcome and a part of this forum. Most of the other forums have been a bit too clickish for my tastes and I gotta say that I appreciate the lengths some of you have gone to.

Welcome Steve, I love your quote! There was a long delay from when I first started living in a van and when I could finally hit the road. Sometime life gets in the way! Keep us informed of your progress. Bob<br>
