Driving to Colorado from South Carolina with 2 mutts in a minivan. 30 minutes driving with the windows down and my dash is already sprinkled with down fur. Good times!

Thoughts for the day:
I-22 through Bama is GORGEOUS. And empty. And gorgeous!
Anyone who says this os not the greatest country on earth has not spent enough time travelling it.
I can't believe I didn't know 'bama had mountains. Well, maybe not what some would call mountains, but majestic hills at least.

My dad gave me a lecture on road safety already. And suggested sleeping at walmart. He drove a wally wagon for years.

Where would I start this "thread" you speak of?

Wonderful Imladris.&nbsp; Enjoy.<br><br>Maybe Katie&nbsp;can make us a new forum called "Traveler's Reports" a place where folks on the road can&nbsp;talk about their travels ... or something to that effect.<br><br>(I know Katie is having trouble getting online right now, so she may need some time to respond.)<br><br>Happy Trails, Suanne<br>

i made it on here, but this is getting old. roads closed everywhere around me, can't get too many places to get internet, so this is rare, to be online. &nbsp;it is said that bandwidth is in high use in our area due to the state of emergency. i ask that anyone with a concern or a question email me directly, cause i won't always get PM's.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>don't want to waste gas driving around here, cause who knows when and where we will be able to get gas/food for the next few days. power outages (again) have little local stores shut down, but they are mostly out of food/gas anyhow. it is unbelieveable how many roads are impassable. when the water goes down we'll know if the bridges and stuff are still there.</div><div><br></div><div>at least the dikes held in Wilkes-Barre, and interstates 80 and 81 are rumored to be open.</div><div><br></div><div>anyhow, i am going to go set up a special spot for travel logs!</div>

</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Glad you were able to make it online, at least for a bit ... you keep taking care in all of that flooding ...</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>And, the&nbsp;"Captains' Log"&nbsp;title is perfect for the new area for us to share our travel adventures.&nbsp; Thanks for setting it up!</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>I'm looking forward to you sharing your travels Imladris.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Suanne</DIV>

No magpies or ravens yet, but I did spot my first 7-11!
Spending a lot of time at walmart. Need to shower so I can be interview presentable. Or at least wash my hair.
