Too late to edit my post above, have you looked at pplmotorhomes.com? I check them now and then, and this is a Bornfree, very highly rated, but a little higher than you were looking and 24' long, but a very good manufacturer, the best ones being Bornfree, Lazy Daze and Fleetwood Class Cs, older ones but watch for leaks around the overhead bed.

https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/used-rvs-for-sale/mini-motorhome/1998-born-free-president_rv-37609 I am not sure how this dealership is to work with, but you could check on the internet for reviews. They do "consignment" sales.

They are definitely too high. I'm in Southern California and the prices surprised me.

Just curious...are you sure you want to sleep in the main area of the rig? (Or would you use the upper bunk?) This was a big consideration for me, I wanted the bed in the back. I did compromise because I found an Airstream B190 near me at a low price. Size is important, because I plan to urban boondock at first.

I also second the Arizona suggestions, I definitely see better prices there.

You're young and, if you're physically able to do a build, maybe even have help, that might be better for you. I would do that if I was physically able. I love seeing the custom touches and pride people take in their homemade rigs.

I think you could get much better deals on a full size or minivan. I see them all the time. They're also more stealth, if that's a consideration.

Good luck!
