My name is David, but everyone calls me Toes.
Just joined the forums as I'm going to be getting a van VERY soon! So excited!

Welcome to the tribe David! You'll find that there are a great many people in this group that have a great deal of knowledge about being a van dweller. There is probably no question that you can ask that hasn't already been asked before so don't be afraid to ask it here. I like to think that there is no such think as a "dumb" question.

Thanks everyone!

I'm planning on making my van (which I should have in about a week) my permanent home. Something I've wanted to do for about a year now, but only recently decided it was time to stop dreaming and just do it.
I traveled all over the states the whole summer living out of my little ford focus. Kind of a "test run" seeing what I'd really need, if I could do it, etc...

And I loved it!

So as soon as I got back, I traded my car for a van!

As for the nickname... I have a slight addiction for toe shoes. I wear them all the time, and someone gave me the name toes as a trail name. And then it spread and just kind of stuck.
