My name is Marshall. My wife Allison and I have been vandwelling in our E150 hightop for 3.5 yrs. now full time. All East Coast and Midwest. We winter in FL and know of over 150 FREE campgrounds near everything fun! Makes the free life easy! We have 240W PV system that runs everything. No generator needed here! We are clean, respectful and helpful. PM us if you need anything. Thanks.

Welcome, you'll find there a good number of us in the East. Sounds like you have it all down to a science with the power and locales. I'd love that list of FREE spots.

Hey all! Thanks for the fine welcome. We boondock almost exclusively now. Spent a couple of winters urban dwelling (in the van) in the West Palm Beach and Miami areas. Got tired of it. It was fun, but we needed a change. Found the South Florida Water Management District website. It lists over 30 different free camps in South FL. Some have HOT water showers even! Amazing! We are boondocking right now deep off in the Francis Marion NF in South Carolina. We have not seen a soul in days! Love it. 30 mins from the beach. Great TV and we stream Tampa Rays games live every night in 4G LTE (no satellite needed), so we ain't missing a beat! Life don't get much better. No need to go West for free parking/camping. Probably never will. Can I buy a NEW Trojan T-145 for $99 out West? I don't think so. Guarantee you I can do that in FL. In fact, I did! After living in Fl for 20 yrs before vandwelling we know all the great places to shop there. So many campgrounds FREE! Always by something cool, too. Hell, there was one just five miles from my house when I had it and never knew! Wow! Florida is warm in the winter. Cold in AZ! So much to do in FL in the winter. Average temp in South FL in the winter is right about 75° and nights right around 50-55°. That is perfect vandwelling climate. Many of the camps we go to we find we are the only ones there, too. We even park right on the beach at the 24/hr beaches on the Atlantic. Unbelievable! Enough. Get on the web and check that site and see where it leads you. Its a great start. PM me for any FL info you need. If I can help, I will. We are traveling up the East Coast this summer finishing in the Mideast before our run down to South FL in November/December. Peace And God Bless! Life is great, ain't it?!
