Hello CRVL community!

I am 57, live on the east coast and the thought of living a simple life more connected to nature sounds extremely appealing!  I am at least a year from being able to break out and am just starting to get rid of things and do research into an accurate financial plan and what kind of vehicle would be best for me.  I am greatly looking forward to learning more about this unique way of life and the community that thrives in it!

Thank you so much!

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the forum tall oak. You’ll find lots of help here. Lots of opinions too. Your job will be to sort out what fits for you but you are smart in starting now to do that sorting. And starting downsizing is a great idea. This next thing I have to say is not original with me but it sure makes sense I’ve proven it. stop spending. Don’t buy anything you don’t absolutely need. Having a nest egg to back you up as you’re traveling is necessary and extremely comforting. Again welcome to the forum I hope you find what you’re looking for.
