How do you keep your important papers with you ,like pass port.

I have used a number of things from a ammo box bolted down with a padlock on it, to hiding it, to a pistol safe with a cable and lock.<br><br>Alco variety store had a pretty nice steel pistol safe with a lock for $40 recently<br><br>I like the idea that MattEdd has since his is fireproof as well. That makes great sense although I would somehow bolt it or lock it in place. It isn't much good if someone can grab it and go....<br><br>Right now I have a hiding place in my van and my sidecar rig for a stash of money that I feel I need to have as emergency funds....<br><br>I carry a possibles bag with me whenever I am out of the house and I carry my "possibles" in it and foremost is my shot record and my Passport. I have always carried a passport and cash since I returned from Vietnam and feel very insecure if I don't have it with me always.....just my own neurosis....<br>Bri<br><br><br>

Well that's a good point too MattEdd....In all reality, it would probably be more important to have a grab and go box than a bolted down safe.<br>Bri<br><br>

People don't steal what they don't see.....<br>Hiding spaces for cash or papers or "stuff" in cabinets or furniture that I have built for customers has been requested quite often.- toe spaces installed with cabinet catches, false drawer backs or bottoms, false backs in cabinets, the space between a countertop and a drawer, spaces above a cabinet with a false top, a false bottom in a wooden waste basket, wooden bookends, a desk top with false bottom that the catches were released with a magnet...<br>&nbsp;I kinda figure that very few people would look into/under my porta potty..... or dig to the bottom of the 4 gal can that I keep kitty litter in. <br>How about the old hollow book?(Investing for Dummies, maybe)<br>Or an"empty" 6v flashlight?<br>Some van seats have a fair sized space between the slide rails- maybe a tupperware type of&nbsp; container or "safe" and bungee cords?<br>&nbsp;Replace the fasteners on a door panel with velcro? <br>
