Hi All,
I found this site through the "Without Bound" doc on YouTube. I've been considering the vagabond lifestyle since I was a kid and my parents bought a camper. It was the love of my life. My Mom drove a camper van as her daily car when my kids were small, and it was amazing. We just don't see them around much here in New England.
Now I'm just about done raising my own kids (after 34 years) and I'm looking forward to beginning MY life.

Unfortunately I may be in that group who will be living without four walls not by choice, but by circumstance. An illness cost me my job, and I'm now the proud owner of a car that's only good for lounging on occasion.  :s

I've researched the Tiny House movement to the point where I could probably build one, but the cost now would be prohibitive. I am, however, good with mechanical stuff (except for electrical issues which plague my current vehicle) and I think a van/small class B would be a good situation for me.
I've subscribed to the videos on YouTube, and am actually listening to the recent Q&A as I type, so forgive me if I left anything out. I'm fascinated!

I look forward to "meeting" you all here, and learning everything I can. Thank you for having me.

Welcome to the CRVL forums Ferwynne! Glad you found us! Even though you are being "forced" into vandwelling the fact that you have loved the idea for so long will make the transition and the journey easier and more enjoyable. Good luck with everything!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi. I am also a newbie. I'm also in love with the tiny house movement! I am in Montreal and facing eviction because of real estate speculation/gentrification. I have decided that the nomadic life/seasonal work is the solution for my and my disabled son's future, but we have to start just with summers because he will still be in school for awhile. I look forward to sharing information and offering moral support (and getting some as well, as I am super stressed over the eviction!).

Welcome to the forum, it's great to have you here.
