due to an awful situation with my brother, i had to drive down to SC from MI, i did have time alone with brother, away from the crazy family, but he was in coma and it doesn't look good.<div><br></div><div>i talked to him while i was there and told him he and i were going to take a couple days to get back home and have a respite at a couple state parks. even though he was only with me in spirit, it was a good commune time.</div><div><br></div><div>i stopped at goodwill and got a few things i needed to camp. then stopped at cove lake state park just south of jellico TN. it was very beautiful and peaceful. nice shower house and cheap for the night. i made a bed in the back, watched a dvd and went to sleep. the other park i stopped at was in KY, it was ok. didn't realize it was spring break for some of the area schools/colleges. </div><div><br></div><div>the biggest issue i had was a campfire. i did the alcohol stove, ran out of heet, found it was easier to simply wad up TP in the grill pit, pour alcohol over it, put the grill plate back over it and light it. was enough for dinner and coffee in the morning.</div><div>i know its been said before, but i did miss that morning coffee. i had some instant.</div><div>i probably spent more on coffee than anything the whole trip, minus gas.</div><div><br></div><div>gas was around $3.50 in TN and parts of KY. it is $3.99 up here in MI now.</div><div><br></div><div>the best part of this is that i had some time with my brother i hadn't had in many years and got to have it alone. the hospital was horrible. but with all the rest of the family there creating chaos, i knew i wouldn't have anymore time with him.</div><div>and i got a couple days break i needed.</div><div><br></div><div> </div>
