I'm SirJoey, a single, 59 year old, early retiree, from SC.

Been a big fan of both, the CheapRVLiving & the CheapGreenRVLiving sites for a couple of years now! Hi Joey, welcome to the forum. Happy you joined us!

Hey, thanx for the warm welcome guys! Yeah, judging from the "tone" of the posts, this seems to be a friendly, great bunch of folks! Not surprising though, as RoVers seem to be a pretty decent class of people (in general). I'm enjoying reading all the posts, & have even picked up a few good tips already!

I'm not a full-timer, not even sure if it's for me, but I sure think about it a lot, & have for quite awhile now. Welcome!! I can suggest a great inaugural trip for the cargo trailer or Class C: a trip to Quartzsite, AZ in January for the RTR!! We'd all love to meet you and maybe we can learn a few things from each other. Hope to see you, Bob
Welcome Joey, glad you finally decided to come out of lurkdum! You'll be one of the lucky ones if you can keep the house AND travel! Ever thought about renting it out? That may be an idea If you wanted to travel for a long while, then if you didn't like being on the road all the time you'd be able to just go back to the house. A property management company could take care of it for you and I think they just get a percentage of the rent amount, but I'm not at all sure how that works, just another idea.

Thanx Judy! At this point, I think that's what I'm shooting for. I have 3 acres in a rural area, so I think I'd like to keep my home base, but sell off most of my "stuff", retaining only the basic necessities.

If the house was pretty much devoid of anything of value, I wouldn't worry about anything being stolen while I'm out enjoying life!

As for renting it out, I don't think that's for me. I've seen too many people who rent to others, & it always seems to be more hassle than it's worth (to ME anyway). YMMV

Yup- been on several camp outs with " tha Ga folks" and I'm from Alabama! Imagine that! We usually go to the Cherokee Natl forest, in Tenn., about 50 miles or so from Murphy, NC, and there is a thread started discussing the possibility of a Kentucky gtg. ( look in the "gatherings" section)
Trailer looks awesome! Bet cha could hang beef in there with that roof AC!

Thanx Kenny & Les! Yeah, SC is South Carolina in this case.

Haven't been on here in awhile. Got a lot goin' on. House is for sale, as well as most of my crap. Have an interested prospective buyer. If he buys, I'll be buying a better truck (mine's 17 years old, & wasted) & gettin' out again with the little trailer!
