I'm new to mobile living. I have been exploring the option for a while and I'm ready to dive right in. We're a family of 3 (Me, the hubs, and our daughter). We are thinking about converting a cargo trailer. Just trying to fill out what size. I'll definitely need some advice on plumbing and wiring (I want to use solar, battery and shore power). I look forward to interacting with all of you and sharing experiences.

Hi jstrickland11! When you get to the building stage, don't forget to take pics if possible. I really enjoy seeing other people's ideas/builds as I think many others here do too. G'luck on everything!

Welcome to the CRVL forums, jstrickland!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the forum.  I'm still in the planning stage myself.  The best thing about this forum also makes for some of the conflict.  This is a very diverse group.  There are people like me, still planning, hoping, dreaming and others that are living full time in the life style.  There are those living in cars, vans, cargo trailers, step-vans and buses.  There are members living in class A, B and C RV's, 5th wheeler and travel trailers.  While I try to read every post, I've learned that not every post will apply to my circumstance.  I've learned a great deal and hope to put it to practice in the near future.  I may never go full-time but I will be able to travel without depending on motels or campgrounds.   If I can offer any advise, it is to not be afraid to ask a question.  The only dumb question is one not asked.  A lot of what I've learned  came from others asking questions that I was hesitant to ask.

p.s.  You wouldn't be from around the Greenville area would you?  I went to school with some Stricklands at North Pitt High school but that was in 1972.
