Greetings,
I have been browsing this site for a while now and i think it is time to officially chime in
First of all, thanks for all the collective information that you have assembled and the support that you give in this wonderfull place.
The idea of downsizing and living on less is very appealing to me
I will be stationary for a while and only taking extended trips around the country a few months at a time in hopefully what i call the Turtle. I know it's classy for a truck camper. Using it as a basecamp for trail running and hiking ,check it out. Not quite sure yet where to post it- under trucks or miscellaneous vehicles ? The base is a 1967 Avion C11 shell
By the time i am done with it i am hoping to hit the road for extended periods in a fully self contained and self sufficient thingy that has more or less nothing to do with a regular RV type camper. And NO i am not restoring it to its former glory , some "Avionistas" will roll their eyes and scream sacrilege and some have already but it is going to be very functional and hopefully i will never need to plug it in and use shore power. And all on a relatively tiny budget Fingers crossed
Onward to this adventure and hopefully i meet some of you on the road.
Michael
