Two months ago I left Hawai'i, my home for the past 43 years, and am now living in the Seattle area as I wanted to be close to my children and grandchildren. I've been feeling the call of a new adventure and way of life... on the road and in the wild places, in a van that I convert largely on my own.

Two weeks ago I bought my cargo van.
It's now a blank (empty) canvas, and I'm excited about creating my new home!

I've watched countless youtube vids, as I've dreamed over many months. So happy to have come across this website, and looking forward to becoming part of the Van Dweller's community! You seem like a lively bunch!

Aloha. Best wishes on your build. WA is a beautiful place to begin your adventure.

Thank you for your welcome and good wishes, LathrenJames! Much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. I’m in the Seattle too. I’m part of my time in Port Orchard. You will find tons of help and ideas here. If I can be of any local help feel free to pm me. Good luck on your adventure!
