Hi, there!

53 year old female going solo. I have been gorging on RV and camping videos for 5 weeks, but the decision to get on the road took about 10 minutes from vague idea to decision made. This is a dream I lost track of years ago that I am snatching back to my reality. I am so looking forward to it!

I am a sewer, crafter and photographer and I also scan and restore antique photos. So my biggest challenge is storage of supplies related to crafting. My best case scenario is an older Class C with lower mileage on the engine, a proper bed and a dinette I can remove and build into a scanning and photography and sewing workstation. However, with the discovery of Bob's videos, a van appeals to me to simplify but not how I would store supplies. But, I have several months to let that one rattle around.

Looking forward to inhaling the forum info here.

Hi CraftyRV and welcome to the forum.

Have you seen this one of Bob's videos yet? This woman has an amazing amount of storage in her home on wheels. Watching this one got me thinking about permanently taking out my transformable dinette/bed and building storage to replace it.

With a class C, if you remove the bed over the cab, this will give you a lot of storage space overhead. You could build shelves or use plastic totes and the stuff would mostly be out of the way until you need it.

Anyway, welcome!

tx2sturgis -- that was the original plan but I may need to adjust my budget. My dream was a Fleetwood Tioga 31N without the entertainment center. Solar. All the bells. But, size seems to of concern to folks in campgrounds and now I am hearing more about stealth camping. I may need to trade my SUV for a Town & Country MiniVan and vandwell in my hometown for a time. I am thinking a tow hitch on the minivan with a small cargo trailer would get me the few extra spaces for supplies.
