Yes, I do realize this. I've been off-roading for 50 years. Taught my boys how to rock crawl in my rubicon. If I could weld a camper onto my rubicon and widen it out for stability, I'd be a happy camper.  But then it would look like a 4x4 van swallowed a jeep. It's actually getting harder to find unpaved roads, dang things are everywhere these days.

I don't think it would be any more top heavy than a 4wd truck with a slide in camper.  I put a M38A1, (military predecessor to the Jeep CJ5), on it's side once, so no matter what you are in caution is advised.

And I'm in the same self debate as you. It's more logical to go with a 4x4 truck but the campers aren't built well enough for me and ride too high. So the compromise would be a 4x4 van. 
I really wish we could import the all terrain campers from down under over here. Here's a link to what I really want (except newer). I wonder what it would take to reinforce a van frame/chasis well enough?

Ujoint offroad will turn any E series motorhome into a 4wd.  So you could buy a class B like this and they'll 4x4 it. (Or class C's and even school buses)  They only work on Fords.  I think they probably put out the best quality 4x4 van out there.  His conversions start in the 20k range though and can get to 30k quickly. But if you have the budget it can be done

I've never heard of any issues with the frames not being strong enough on any of the research i've done and i've done a lot of it.

YES! You got it. Path of truth. My father is a minister so, as a child I traveled and learned all world religions only to realize that the only thing that matters is helping my fellow man, mother earth and being a true, loving person without judgement. 

My black lab was also named Asha.

Those are some really cool builds. I'm liking the ambo's for some reason. They look solid as does the short bus. But I'll need a trampoline to get in some of those. 6" lift, yeah.

Did you see the orange van? It was DEquigleyed. Hmm

I think some class B's when modified with fiberglass by an aftermarket company can suffer some integrity issues.

I was with a group of other 4 wheelers. we were attempting to get up a hillside, (not as steep as it was rocky). I was at the base of the hill and was backing to get a better approach. One of my rear tires fell in a hole. I guess I was just off level enough to where the momentum carried the jeep onto it's side. I had a heavy roll bar that we attached the winches of other rigs to and we pulled it back onto the wheels. And on we went. Another moral of the story is don't go 4 wheeling in remote places by yourself. I have had to drag other vehicles back out of the bush as well. 

On spirituality I like the saying that God is like a mirror in that whoever looks sees something different, but the mirror never changes. Problems arise when one group think that they have the only good mirror. The thing that I like about Jesus is He only had two commandments. Love God, Love your fellow man.

On a dog Named Asha, you do know that dog is God spelled backwards.

Wow backing up and falling over might be the scariest way to do it. At least you and your rig were able to continue on.

Yes, a mirror/truth/asha. There a many ways to look at it with our minds but still very simply god's/nature's truth. Jesus was one of many famous nomadic leaders who figured it out/was enlightened. He wanted people to follow his path, his way of life. Pure, simple living without the trappings/lust of society, just pure light and love. 

Yes, that Asha dog was godly and never left my side.
