Fuel Pump

I found the following ad on craigslist. I know it says it needs a fuel pump, but for the asking price would it be worth getting and fixing. Are there any other problems I should be alerted to here?

There can be many things wrong with it and without driving it you won't be able to tell. Putting gas in the throttle body will only run the engine it won't tell you anything about the rest of the truck including transmission, etc. that being said I am sure it has $1100 worth of parts. Heck, a scrap yard might give you $1000 for it. Always a risk though.

If it's in otherwise good shape, and has the old block-mounted manual fuel pump, I'd consider it. Easy to change out.
If it's got the electric pump in the gas tank, then you are looking at $200-300 for the pump, and major labor to drop the tank and reinstall.
