On my way to the WRTR my fridge stopped working.

First question,  is there a way to determine if it can be repaired or if it needs to be replaced?
Second question, why does the fan continue to run when unplugged? I have to remove the fuse to make it stop

yes we need more info. make, model, built in, portable, compressor, 3way, 2way? highdesertranger

By any chance, do you have it plugged into 120V and wired into the 12V system? I am trying to figure out how the fan can run when it is unplugged and then you have to remove a fuse to make the fan stop. Where is this fuse located? Is it part of the truckfridge or part of the house wiring? I don't own one so don't know if this even has the 120V option.

USEFUL CHECKLIST – ADVICE
If your TruckFridge does not work, or works incorrectly, before referring to service, make sure that:
a) Proper power is not supplied.
b) The voltage which reaches the Electronic control module is a minimum of 11 volts and maximum of 14 volts
DC
c) The connections have proper polarity.
d) The condenser fan is not jammed.
e) The refrigerating unit is not near a source of heat.
f) The fuse mounted on the supply line is not blown.

You look around on your Truck fridge unit for the ID plate that has the model number on it. Once you find the model number you can go online and find a manual to download to your computer.

If you can't figure it out just hang onto it until you get to the RTR. Lots of people there will know how to trouble shoot it. There should be a bulletin board where you could even post a note with your phone number asking for help to figure out your fridge. Remember people are gathering there in the spirit of helping, sharing, caring, and also mentoring others, etc. It is not all newbies, there are many experienced people who know and understand electrical issues.

Yay, thanks so much. The fuse is located in the fuse box and seems to run the water pump also. I’m at the WRTR now, so will post on the board in hopes someone can help. I’m willing to pay someone if that is what it takes. Thanks again
