Anyone tried using those foam puzzle mats for gym and garage floors in their van?  I was thinking this might be a comfortable floor material on the cheap, looks like it be easy to keep clean and replace a section if damaged.  It goes for like 22 bucks for 48sq feet on amazon.

I think that's a great idea. Insulation, check, comfort on the knees/feet, check, sound proofing, check.  Go for it and let us know how it turns out.

Check Harbor Freight.  They sell it too.  Might be cheaper.  And it would be right there where you are.

I have it in the bed of my pickup truck now. I needed something to put down because the bedliner has deep ridges that made it very uncomfortable to sit/sleep on. So far it has worked very well. It"s extremely easy to cut into any shape you need, wipes clean easily, and seems to hold up pretty well. I purchased two packs of it (4 pieces per pack), covered the bed of my truck (cut to fit around the wheel wells), and keep two additional pieces to use when the tailgate is lowered. My dog loves it because it gives her comfort and stability. <img class="emoticon bbc_img" src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif">

Truly inspired idea! I already have some I'm not using and was thinking about ideas for keeping my cat comfortable. Thank you for sharing, I greatly appreciate it.

Well, i like the idea of them, but decided to go with carpet tiles because i can get them a quarter a piece (18x18in)... 60 square feet for 10 bucks.&nbsp; Also got 5 gal of carpet adhesive for 5 bucks.&nbsp; So thats the new plan.&nbsp; I really wanted to avoid carpet but for the price i can live with it.&nbsp; It is business type carpet so it is durable/cleanable.&nbsp; Also, the carpet is thinner than the puzzle mat, and height is becoming a premium (already insulated and plywood on top)....
