Well folks, I've been on the site a couple times in the last 6-12 months and been planning and replanning like many of us but I finally got the notice I've been waiting on from the lawyer and it should be another two weeks and I will be flying south (worst time of the year I know) from AK to probably AZ to purchase a van and start my new life. I have lived in the hot before so I am not totally ignorant of the issues but its going to be interesting. I cant wait to get hooked up in a caravan and meeting new friends and old acquaintances. I am unfortunately not retired but not disabled enough to get SSD and not able enough to do manual labor anymore so I am going to get the best rig I can get, set it up using all your accumulated knowledge and go from there. God willing I will be able to decide what I want to be when I grow up.
I do know that my current life situation is not conducive to happiness so going for this while I still am able to and have some $$ to make it happen. Fear is a big killer to dreams and I will be conquering a huge fear in this step. We'll see you on the flipside and post when I get the van and start the living the dream!
