Felt some earthquakes here in Idaho today

Thought someone was messing with me by shaking my van...went outside and no one was there.  Four 5.3 earthquakes, epicenter  11 miles east of Soda Springs, I'm 11 miles north of Soda Springs at Blackfoot Reservoir.

Come further west -- we have some GOOD ones here, occasionally, like sevens and eights!  But you'll have to go to Alaska for the nines...

Ballenxj, Re: the one felt in Las Vegas. My sister was still driving limo at the time, and she was on the Strip. She said she only has two memories of it (we're from SoCal, so she wasn't unduly impressed): 1) People in the hotel rooms ran out onto their balconies to see what was going on, and 2) when people in the casinos realized what was happening (most from CA, probably), they ran outside, but management wouldn't let the dealers leave.
