Establishing Domocile Tent Friendly CG

Hello,
Hope this is a good place for this cause we are newbies. :blush:
We are looking for a good campground to stay for a month to establish domicile in Nevada.
Will be moving stuff to storage in Pahrump at the end of December=homeless!
Have a Tacoma built for expedition travel, see mmoverland.com
My question is where is a good quiet affordable place to camp in southern Nevada that excepts roof top tent setups like ours?

A number of people use a mail service here in Pahrump for their address. (Bob would know more about that than I). Just send yourself some mail. With that address you can register to vote, get a library card, drivers licence, change your cell phone info for here, (you can keep the same number if you like, just change billing address). All indicators of residency.

You wouldn't actually need to stay here for the month. I got my drivers licence changed over just as soon as I got my address. I bought a home, but they didn't know that. I was changing residence from tax oppressive California to No State tax Nevada, So I wanted that documentation as soon as possible. I will send them a PM.

Shazzam! Your wish is my command. I sent off a PM with some additional info.  Unless something has changed in the last 6 years, I didn't have to prove that I was here for 30 days before I switched drivers license. Often what the rules are and how it actually it works are two different things. They mail out the license, so the address you give them has to be valid.

Things have changed. If you ever want to be abe to fly on an airplane or go into an airport without a passport, you need to have a rent receipt or utility bill.

They know all the address for the mail forwarders and will send your mail there but they will NOT work as a residence. You must bring in physical proof of some other residence.

You don't have to stay there, all you need is the rent receipt. There is plenty of free camping around Pahrump so when I do it I'll pay for the month and then go register to vote ith that address and then you can get your drivers license that complies with Real ID. You'll get a gold star on it that says you are allowed on Federal Facilities, (airports and airplanes).

But, i hate campgrounds so I'll camp out on BLM land for free.

Pahrump can be awfully cold in December. It's different every year but I've seen it be miserable. And when the wind blows, you won't be getting any sleep.

I believe Nevada is still issuing the plane Jane drivers licence. It can be updated at a later time to the "real ID". I gave them a PM, but have not heard back from them.

I know they will renew with the old license because I got mine in April at Pahrump, and yes it is the old one, says right on it not to be used on Federal Facilities. The clerk said I could upgrade at any time. I have a passport so not really an issue. When I renew it in 4 years, I MUST get the Real ID compliant one.

But that is my third renewal, I suspect, but don't know, that they will not issue new licenses that are not compliant. But I could be wrong.

Yeah I hate campgrounds too. Wasn't planning on camping in Pahrump but want to get to warmer climates. But need to get out from the CA tax grip asap. Tired of being bled dry. So if I can an address and license quickly then we can head to warmer climates for the winter. Suggestions welcome.?

I intend to rent my house so, suppose I pay for the garbage bill, would that be enough proof to establish residence 'somewhere' (Washington in my case)? thanks.

Google is your friend. Just look up "getting a WA drivers License" this is the page with all th details:

Right now they are still giving you the option of an enhanced or not enhanced DL. Personally, I would get an enhanced license while you are still in a house even as an owner. You can take in the garbage bill or the title and that's all you need.
