Engine start problem with 95 Ford E150 van - Keep gas at 1/2 full and don't park on hills?

I'm a french guy, i just arrived in the USA for making a roadtrip and i just bought a beautiful ford van E 150, 1995.

What i have to know about this van...?

Any problems...?

Give me any advices for put all luck in my side ;-)
