Lots of solar and not enough battery isn't going to help much in bad weather.
If Bobs advise is sound, and we should not pay attention to charts, graphs and solar calculators I'm puzzled as to why he would create and publish, on this site his own calculator under the heading 'Solar Power Demystified'.
