I am in South Jersey. Most in my range have stayed hunkered down from bitter cold and snow. While I look out today on more snow and cold north wind, the warm weather is close. The buds on the trees, birds mating, and the returning migratory hawks indicate fairer weather. While I would like a close by confluence, I'm hoping we can start a list of places where those of us East of the Mississippi can gather and say hello. Hopefully in the Northeast or Central Atlantic States. I did have one suggestion from NJ to meet at The Grounds For Sculpture.  This would be a one day meet-up.;  http://www.groundsforsculpture.org/

You are not going to draw much of a crowd to go and battle Trenton NJ traffic and spend $16 to enter a day use area BUT if you reserved two side by side campsites ($3/site (6 people max per site)per day) for 4 nights (Wed thru Sat) at Bodine Field https://freecampsites.net/#!63175&query=sitedetails in the Wharton State Forest http://www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandforests/parks/wharton.html#camp for the first week of May there would be a good chance you would get 5 people to attend and charge them $5 each to recover your $24 investment.

This site is close to the shore points and the casinos of Atlantic City.

I am not interested in handling money. I am not interested in organizing. I just want to know where we could meet and if any will be there. Wharton Forest is a good suggestion. There are places in all the other states as well. But I'm familiar with Wharton.

If YOU build it they will come but someone has to step up. Someone with a NJ ID has to handle the money because the fees are 2X of those from other states. There is NOTHING FREE IN NJ. All that it would take to get people together would be a meet up announcement to muster at the Walmart in Mays Landing (overnight parking OK per Allstays) at a certain time and date then collect the camping fees from those in attendance.

After the Wharton meet up I would be going south to Wildwood and taking the Cape May Ferry to Lewes and then on to the Maryland shore points.

Western MD state forest more central, permits used similar to Q.surrounding area half the cost of anything in very expensive nj.

Got more information? Locations or names of suitable parks?
