Not very practical but it's pretty ingenious. I like that it has front and rear disk brakes (link to CL ad):

You'd probably need to have a supply of extra sprockets,too.  I could see them wearing out pretty quickly.

I'm surprised at the 30mph speed he got it up to.

It would be more practical if you could set it up so that the motor only kicked in when you needed some extra oomph going uphill.
