DROK meter

Would anyone be inclined to utilize a meter such as this DROK hall-sensing meter in their 12/24V systems? It can connect to a relay with several criteria to cut off the battery (low-voltage, high current, high voltage, etc). It also keeps a record of energy used. Would this mostly be unnecessary with other quality components including an MPPT that are well-fused? Anyone have experience with this or a similar meter?

I use a shunt based battery monitor (bogart engineering rv-2030) and find the info it provides useful. I think there are some on here that use a hall effect monitor. I can't attest to the accuracy or voracity of them though.

I also use a MidNite Kid with the Whiz Bang jr. MPPT controller that uses the shunt to control charging. The shunt provides the controller with amps/voltage so the controller knows what to do, no timed parameters. Timed parameters can lead to under charging or over charging with a blinking green light that says all is well when it is not.
 
Another recommendation for the Trimetric. I bought one of Ralph's first generation Trimetric meters over 30 years ago and since then its been running 24/7/365 without a glitch.
 
I have an old Victron, shunt based. I have more faith in the shunt based monitors. I have a Trimetric in back shelf of the shop someplace. I bought it from someone on this forum, long long long time passing. The DROK products I've seen are of good quality as near as can tell.
