So am reading and testing which companies will allow a download and go type service for paid subscriptions. You need to be very careful of the advertised capabilities. Starting this thread to get others to share what they have discovered
I have VUDU service owned by Walmart and linked to ULTRAVIOLET licensing. My owned movies have been properly registered at a fee. This allows me to download my movies and watch them upon demand from the cloud. VUDU is set to do this. You download the movie while maybe using WIFI at Starbucks. Then watch it at some future time. Once you start watching you have 48 hours to complete watching. When you will need to synchronize with your account again.
AMAZON PRIME has something similar. You can download your movies that you have a right to watch. And then leave the wifi access point (leave Starbucks). Watch it any time. But once you start watching you have 48 hours before the movie times out.
STARZ is just starting up this same service.
Does anyone have experience with HBOGO? Or with HULU? How about YOUTUBE RED?
Know that NETFLIX will not work this way.
