After I saw an ad for christian mingle, I kinda figured all bets are off on the "dating site with your specific twist".

This love thing won't work because the box of bullets won't work after two years. Yeah that's right the government hasn't been able to disarm us so they put something in the gunpowder that only makes the rounds last two years. So I guess this is a whirlwind romance and then off to find another. But do we have that long?

rattle, where did you get that info on the shells?

Through the grapevine. Don't know for sure if it is true, but I wouldn't put it past 'em. I over heard two men talking in Walmart and then again I heard it from a guy down in Quartzsite Arizona. All these rumors are with in the last month or so.

At least, when the romance wears off in two years and one month, neither person will be able to shoot their spouse...

Some of us, in fact a lot of us, have already had their share of 'doomsday' relationships. So, I don't know that looking for, or signing up to find another one would be all that tempting. I'm quite content and happy going solo and just meeting people along the way. There is nothing wrong with just being friends or acquaintances. It is difficult these days to find anyone that is true to the title, granted.

There's a lot more fun and adventure going on 'upstairs,' I have discovered. Continuously focusing on the downstairs area gets very boring and passe' after a short time and in fact is over rated. There is only so much to do down there. "Next." lol

Knowledge, in my humble opinion, is the biggest turn on, in all Reality. Perfect example is the gentleman taking this photo. I'd much rather be taking a photo of a Whale. Now THAT'S exciting!

Just an awesome photo. I didn't take it, I wish I had!! lol...

Corinne,

Is the photographer's name Jonah, by any chance?

Bob

No Bob, the photographer is the modern day Ahab from Moby Dick. Close though, real close..... lol... This time he's sporting fins instead of a wooden leg, oops pardon me, I mean ivory leg.
A lot of folks miss out on friendships because they want, or expect, something more right off the bat. Isn't friendship enough? If something blossoms romantically from a friendship fine, if not, "fine." It should be okay either way. Too many people go into a new relationship, or a new acquaintance, with unrealistic expectations. If they would have chilled out to begin with, and just let it run its course all by itself, it could have matured.

Speaking in general, you are the only one that is going to be with you for the rest of your Life, why not befriend yourself and get to know yourself first? What is so bad about being with "you?"

I made it to Black Canyon City AZ today with my trailer still attached! Hahahaha... Quite an accomplishment. It was the first time I hitched it up all by myself. I peeked on the inside to see if their were any causalities! We're good!

I've decided to stay at this nice park for a month, it has lots of trees and lots of friendly people, it's quiet too. I have to move to another spot tomorrow though because I'm currently in a pull through. That's okay though, I haven't decided if I'm going to take out the park bench first with the trailer or the tree next to it! lol... I have to practice backing up at some point, may as well be tomorrow.

Then, I'm going in to Sedona to check out the Vortex's. I may get beamed up some where. Then, I'll check out the historical museums and Cathedral Rock and the Coconino eventually. I'll see if Jerome AZ is really haunted, it's close by too.

All is within an hour's drive so I'm good right where I am for now. I'll try my hand at boon docking after I get to see all the sites I've wanted to see all of my Life. I'm going to go to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon too, about 3 hours away, and stay over there a couple of days in a lodge. I haven't had a vacation in about 18 years so it's time to make up for lost time.

Take care all. I hope you all discover what you are seeking. For me personally, I have found it within my own heart.

I'll take some photos soon to share.

P.S. For those who think 'making' in a bucket and washing with handi wipes is not cool:

It's called personalizing your toilet and sponge bathing. Nothing wrong with that... ( Be creative with what you call it! Maybe even a little poetic. lol)

There's a lot more fun and adventure going on 'upstairs,' I have discovered. Continuously focusing on the downstairs area gets very boring and passe' after a short time and in fact is over rated. There is only so much to do down there. "Next." lol

Imagination. Creativity. Concentrating on the other person. After 39 years together, it still ain't boring

It's all important.

I just moved 10 posts that seemed to need a thread of their own here:

https://vanlivingforum.com/post/Speaking-of-dating-and-relationships-5832729

Thanks!

I figure it will be safer on the move when it does happpen i intend on staying in remote areas and hope i am in the right spot when the SHTF.

tween, Sounds good but the bunker is only good for a short time, then Mother Earth will roll over on her back and new poles will be created. Mile high waves will wash over the land destroying everything on the surface. So you need to make your underground place waterproof. Surface water will be polluted so you will need a deep underground drinking water well or wells. The Earth goes through a new pole shift every so often when we get this Sun Cycle we are in now. The Maya Indians knew of this cycle and wrote it in stone on their pyramids as a message to themselves in the future [yes reincarnation is not a myth]. We will be going into what the Indians call the Fifth World pretty soon. A world where the lion will lay down with the lamb and death will be no more. So really all the preparations to survive will only help you live a little longer than the rest of us. But the survival instinct is strong so if it makes you feel safe, go for it. The Hopi Indians are exploring underground searching for a new home. They know what is coming. But know that there is no death, only our bodies die, our spirit lives on.

Gee rattlesnake and tween, you sound pretty serious, I better start now if I want to find a date to watch the apocalypse come in. I'm going to quit trying to loose these last few pounds too.
Any one interested in me? I guess it will be short term and thats fine with me
Dragonfly

If everyone else is heading out to remote areas, then I'll be by myself in the city. Works for me.

What is...I don't even...who the...

You guys? I think you broke my brain with this. Five minutes, and you broke my brain.

Although on the positive side, if you keep them convinced that the world will end soon, that marriage will last and last. After all, would YOU want an angry ex who knew where all of your food and guns were buried?
