I admire you for your doing you washing by hand. When I am living in the forest or desert I wear my clothes (the same clothes) for at least a week. Carrying the water necessary to wash really dirty clothes would preclude me from doing it my self. Also down here in the Desert, many advantages to going to the laundromat. The laundries where I camp have showers. Also it is a social occasion for me to talk to others that have the same lifestyle I do. Some even have WiFi. Also I was thinking last night that if my laundry stinks...and I don't know if it really does..It is really only me and my dog. It has been a year since anybody else has ridden with me. Me, Bob and Jo and all the dogs went into Blythe for shopping..nobody said anything about smell. I prefer to blend into my surroundings by being indistinguishable from the other Desert Creatures both in appearance and smell...and then cleaning up to go into town. Something feels really good with that routine.
