I agree with cyndi...have a mechanic take a look at whatever vehicle you're thinking about buying. If whoever you're buying from has a problem with that, move on. If you're not in a big hurry then be sure to take your time and get something that you're going be comfortable in...there's a lot of options out there and some of the mini vans have quite a bit more room than others.

Good luck to you :)

I agree with Patrick. I did mechanical work for several of them for years. they are only there for one thing to separate you from your money, the more of your money they get the better. new car dealers are no better than used car dealers. not all car dealers, but the vast majority are shysters. they are great about telling you what you want to hear. highdesertranger

I'll go with my mother to store as she promise van. Since you guys avoid mini van and get full van or cargo. I'll nagging her to get that. If She refuse and pushy me to get mini push. I will no choice to accept and thanks her. Wait til she paid off for this van. Then I'll trading in for full van.

Unless you guys have better idea? Friday is approach! 2 day away

You can live quite well in a mini-van! I know quite a few people who do, in fact I know a married couple who live in an Astro mini-van.

A full size van gives you more so most of us prefer it, but that down't mean you can't be happy in a mini-van

Thanks for all those info. Today is the day... Let's see if I could win my mother's mind about full van

After long nagging my mother. She keep try push me to get pickup truck because cheaper. I finally admit to my mother why I really want van. She just give me looks then said "you're out of your mind!" Then I told her "well I could save tons $ to get better van in future without pay any rent and stuff. just simple gas, insurance and some stuff" She still thinking I'm out of my mind But in end up she agree to allowed me to get a van. But she demand for full coverage insurance til she paid off van that which would be 5 year or so. Here pictures

I was think to remove middle seat out storage bay and put them in basement til my mother paid off van. Then make one of storage bay as battery storage and other as extra storage. By the way check out I found on net. maybe would be good idea. But I will need figure how to cable down into battery Also I need figure out how to use battery for varies around in van. Like overhead light, ummm laptop recharge, etc. I know very little do with electric.

Congrats, Deaf3279! That looks like it will make a wonderful home.

I'm not familiar with this brand of flex panels. But I did have the flexible panels on my class C. It was a great system.
I'm going to look more closely at the ones you posted. Maybe I'll go with these instead of the Renology suitcase.

nice van,you can get rooftop storage or even haul a small trailer

I have been think of get this mount roof cargo as battery storage since I made promise to my mother I will not cut up anything in van. til she paid off that would be take 5 year or more. So Since if I buy my own mount roof cargo then add battery inside and flex solar on top of box. Then have cable go down though curl door one I would keep shut close all time because it wont open with remote. Have it plug in inverter (if i'm understand correct)... correct me if i'm mistake... Solar -> Controller -> Battery -> power inverter. Then I can use V120 or 110 to plug in.

Congrats on your new van. Now the fun begins :)

Yup, that is the correct order on solar.
A top storage box will take quite a bit of space so you will need to plan carefully to have enough solar up there too.

That is the correct order, yes, but you will find you can use power more efficiently if you use 12v accessories and skip the inverter. Depends on your needs.
