Is a passport required to cross into Canada?

I have a trip planned to go to Alaska and I don't know if I need to get a Passport.

I ask because the only document I have that lists a real street address is my Concealed Carry Card, and I don't think the Border officials would approve of that. LOL

Everything else lists a P.O. Box.

You'll need a passport to get back into the US.

Citizenship is the issue, not your address.

Since you mention a CCW, you may want to check the laws on transporting firearms thru Canada.

I will leave them at home.

I don't want to take any chances. Just not worth the effort.

They may not want me back LOL

Canada is closed due to Covid. Yes you need a passport, when they open up.

Since I have an Oklahoma DL its not RealID compliant I can't use it, but I do have a Retired Military ID that will work. Also it looks like I may need my Birth Cert, I have it somewhere, so I should be ok with getting a Passport.

If you don't plan to go anywhere else, a less expensive passport card is good for travel to Canada and Mexico.

Dang, I now see they raised the fee from $40 to $65. Still less than the book tho.
