<br /><img style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-...AAAClM/6UmWUGftLW0/h120/Crab+Shrimp+Cakes.jpg" alt="" width="215" height="163" /><br /><br />This is a recipe I made up while driving down the road.&nbsp; It actually turned out pretty darn tasty.&nbsp; I liked the sweet and zingy flavor that was added by the cocktail sauce as well as the heat from the optional red pepper flakes.<br /><br /><div>Spicy Crab / Shrimp Cakes</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>1 can of lump crab meat - undrained<br />8 medium cooked shrimp, finely chopped <br />1/2 Cup bread crumbs (seasoned)<br />1/4 Cup&nbsp;egg substitute (egg beaters)</div><div>1/4 Cup finely chopped bell peppers (any color)<br />1/4 Cup diced green onions (the onion end)<br />1/4 Cup smashed french fried onions<br />2 TB shrimp cocktail sauce<br />1 tsp crushed hot red pepper flakes - OPTIONAL<br />1 tsp Italian seasoning<br /><br />Just mush up the crab meat, bread crumbs, and egg substitute till well mixed.&nbsp; Add the rest and stir through.&nbsp; You can fry them in a skillet with a little olive oil, but I liked cooking them on non-stick foil (with a bit of garlic flavored oilve oil) over cherry wood (while smoking some fresh trout).&nbsp;<br /><br />The fat content isn't too bad... The salt is up there though...<br /><br /></div><div>&nbsp;</div>
