Is anyone else getting the following "no" message?

Now a page appears, but looks shady and nothing to do with the topic. A placeholder.

At the top this message appears "This domain (coyotehowls.net) expired on 06/10/2016. You can retrieve your domain by clicking here."

I sent a PM to HDR regarding the discussion of the RV park here as I realized this morning it's gone way off topic and probably should be in the Campgrounds and RV Parks section. My apologies for assisting in the derailment of this thread.

In the meantime I'll call the park and let them know others can't access the site anymore either. He was going to put up a facebook page as the one up there now was created by a volunteer who lives there and it isn't affiliated with the parks social media.

I started a thread over here for the RV park since we've engaged in quite a bit of discussion about it and for HDR's convenience if he chooses to move the discussion out of the current thread.

I just talked to the manager of the west side again and the site is now down for him as well.  He's currently working on a facebook page for Coyote Howls West.  Since a different manager takes care of East and hasn't asked for any additional web presence I encouraged him to put information up for the East as well since the website is down and they don't know when it will be back up.  I also mentioned that on this board most of the interest has been regarding east as well.

Both east and west are owned by the water district that was mentioned in the first post about it.

Both east and west allow gardening within your space with obviously east having much more space for it.

Most of west allows for pull-through as there are small roads in between the spaces.  Most of east are back in spots.

He said that because of the economy if the parks fill up(it hasn't the last couple of years) it's usually the east that fills first so keep that in mind if you are interested in wintering there.  IOW don't assume a spot will be available.

Wild burros do walk through the grounds on both sides as does other wildlife so keeping food and garbage properly stored/disposed of is a must.

I looked up the average temps for the area and his idea of "hot" is much different from mine.  It gets HOT there!  It's the desert.  Looks like a great home base because most of the travel for my genealogical project will be during the hotter months anyway and the temps will be cool enough for me to grow food while I'm "home".  Win/win.

I'll post more info as I get it because this looks like it may be a great place for me to land after I move from this eviction.  :)

Hmmmmm , a place with a garden in the desert !
That would be nice ............

<shudder>  I grew up on a farm, was forced to weed the damn garden when I was a teenager.  You're out of your freaking mind!

Me and Vic have stayed at Coyote Howls several times over the years. We started out boondocking in the area and staying there 1 night every week or so to dump tanks and refill water.Last couple of times,we just stayed in CH all the time.Nice place. There is a nice VFW in Ajo.

Vagabound: "Nice descriptions not withstanding, I just haven't been able to get this idea out of my head... the couple who drives across country and breaks down in some small desert town... Tumbleweeds, scorching heat, chainsaws. You know the one I'm talking about."

Right town, wrong movie. Shootout at the Coyote Howls Corral:

I have been working on a Facebook account for Coyotehowls rv parks.

If you've never been to Ajo, it's a nice town and that whole area is gorgeous in my oppinion. We spent a few weeks on the blm land at Darby Wells Rd. and had a great time. One downer though was the lack of cell signal.

My problem with the area is limited services. If you need something more than groceries or dollar store stuff, you have to go to Buckeye (87 miles) or other Phoenix-area cities (Gila Bend has even less than Ajo). So for me Why/Ajo is a brief destination — a week, maybe two if I really stock up first. And if I'm going to stay in Why, I'd choose the BLM area south of town, because it's free.

Thanks!  I was wondering if you had gotten my message.  I was kicking myself in the rear because I could have at least gotten a decent webpage up for you but not on that same domain name obviously.

For those of you spoiled like me that don't do mobile view here's the regular link:  https://www.facebook.com/sonoranRVcamping/

Glad to know the site will be back up soon!

HDR you can look at the site without joining. When that big block pops up telling you to log in to see the rest just below the text should be something like "not now" you can click on that will shrink the block with text down.

Indeed it is quite isolated and not much available but that's also why it's so cheap. Plus for someone like me getting my education online it's pretty convenient in that I'd have a home base, address and wifi.  Another bennie for me is the rez next door! Holay!

To Phoenix is 119 miles, to Yuma is 158 miles and to Tucson is 135 miles.

HDR I meant the FB not the website. Durrr And yes, if you look through the photos that is a real wild burro walking through the rv spaces, lol.
