Concerns about coming 5G network

I have read that people are concerned that since 5G uses small cell tech that they are worried that the radiation emitted by the antennas will be in neighborhoods instead of out on a giant tower. While I understand the concern for what might possibly happen, I have not seen testing to prove that it is a threat. Should you be concerned by it I recommend that you use a blue tooth headset and do not keep your phone in your pocket. The testing to show how much radiation is emitted into our bodies are measured at a distance further than we tend to keep the phones from us.

Jim,

Like John61CT, I don't think this thread is paranoid.
It's just a discussion ... which is the prupose of a forum.
One person overreacted on this thread so I prefer not to post publicly anymore.

I'm sending you a pm with a question.

Thanks,

TW

I am confused as to what you are concerned about with 5G networks.

Spaceman,

I'm not posting publicly on this thread anymore.

Sending you a pm.

Thanks,

I will send you the same pm as I sent to Spaceman Spiff.

This post was about 5G, not surveillance.
Thanks for clarifying, if only a little. Not sure what your concern is then, is it the radiation aspect? Or something else?

To me, refusing to discuss it is an over-reaction to whatever somebody may have posted.

As you say we're just talking here.

My post simply asked  "who is concerned about the coming 5G network", that's all.

If that causes you a problem, then sorry.
Do your own research and then maybe you can answer the question.

I am not overreacting.
One mod has already stepped on this thread, accusing us of bickering.
It is not my desire to incur the wrath of moderators on here.

Again, if you are not concerned, then move along - nothing to see here.
If you are concerned, then post on here or better yet, send me a pm and we can  talk in private without the heavy handed censorship.

Far be it from me to defend a controversial topic on here.
I know better than that.
Sorry if that causes anyone "confusion" or wrath because I don't get into the details.

Do you own research.

not sure what mod stepped in for bickering, oh I see it was Cyndi I checked the posts she deleted and yes there was bickering.

I searched the phase "concerns about 5g" and it came up with over 26 million results. I especially liked the one about dogs and deer being affected by high frequency waves. so unless someone can come up with something to actually be concerned about I will close this thread in the near future. highdesertranger

Anyone on here worried about this new technology and the "Internet of Things"?
quote="B and C"
I don't. It's basically a faster 4G network with shorter range.
quote="mpruet"
What is to be concerned about it?  5G is basically just another band channel with additional speed and IOT is nothing more than connecting devices with your smartphone.

One point of interest is that as 5G becomes more common and in full use near the end of 2019 that 3G will be shut down and meanwhile unsuspecting consumers will fall victim to close-out deals on 3G devices to save money. I understand that Visible is a Verizon subsidiary exacted with the task of transitioning and with the newer devices come 5G capability when it does finally show itself.

ok ranger ...

since you asked for it, try these out.
first one is only 3 minutes long.
the second one gets into more detail.

I won't be getting into any pro or con discussion on here due to the moderators interesting definition of "bickering".
If certain people dismiss this as being paranoid and are not comfortable with even having this discussion, then that is their opinion and they are entitled to it. Move along .. nothing to see here.

If, on the other hand, someone wants to have a rational discussion without throwing insults, I am willing to discuss offline.
I expect to get blowback even from posting the above links.  So be it.
You asked for it.  I gave it to you.  Do with it what you want. Dismiss it, consider it, explore it .. that is what a "forum" is for....

Well, let me answer your direct question. No, I am not worried.

first off thanks for finally letting us know what was your concern was. this is nothing new and has been going around ever since cell phones have been around. so I am guess you don't use cell phones? or wifi or hot spots or any type of wireless internet service? I am curious because the frequency bands above and below the 5g bands are already in use. in fact we are getting bombarded with radio waves from throughout the spectrum 24/7. like it or not there is no way to escape it. highdesertranger

I don’t know, do pretty well with my tin foil hats. Switch hats every few days for variety and make special ones for holidays. Also seems to keep people away in stores, reststops.
