When DW and I began discussing FT, I designed a comprehensive worksheet to help us check the financial feasability.

It will accept both taxable and non-taxable incomes, and estimate taxes using the percentage you input, and produce your net income after taxes. I use a conglomerate percentage in mine that covers federal, state and local taxes.

It figures a gasoline budget based on number of miles you'll drive from one base camp to another (using low mpg figure) and driving around a stationary basecamp (using higher mpg from your towed vehicle or tow vehicle without trailer). You input mpg, gas cost per gallon, and estimated distance you plan to drive.

It will advise how much money you should set aside a month for taxes, anticipated maintenance, etc.

Covers about every possible category I could imagine, totals them up, and compares with income figures (after taxes) to give a +/- buffer amount (+ projected safety margin/ - "I need a job")

Any other ideas, suggestions, I'll consider. You may not use all the categories, but...

I inputted some basic figures for demonstration.

The first link should do a direct download. The second pulls up a page with the link on it, in case the direct DL doesn't work on your computer.

https://sites.google.com/site/recumbentfalcon/documents/onlineexample.xls?attredirects=0&d=1

http://https://sites.google.com/site/recumbentfalcon/documents

For those without a spreadsheet program, the free Open Office busines suite (essentially the same as Microsofts Office suite and fully compatible) contains a spreadsheet program. Download for Windows, Apple or Linux.

http://www.openoffice.org

I looked at that the other day, Seraphim. Nicely done! Now all I need is someone to fill it in, for me!

I wasn't sure if I had posted it here or not lol. Figured it wouldn't hurt to have it's own thread for future visibility. What help do you need filling it out?

Glad to know someone else is finding it useful

This is absolutely ridiculous!...............

Just being sarcastic Saraphim, this rocks. I've been messing with various tables forms and budgets. Now that I'm on a set disability income, budgeting is critical. This is perfect! Thank you for sharing this!

Thanks.. I tried to come up with every possibility, but I'm sure there are plenty I missed.
