Hope you guys enjoy, feel free to share any cool sites you know of.

my favorite atm is http://comicvine.com good for conversation with fellow comic lovers.

I used to collect comics until august of 2004 when charlie changed a lot for me. since then physical comics have been limited to special megacon exclusives and such for lady death.

Not sure how i'd ever be able to van dwell with my comics. have to many. or even worse my video collection I am a video person for tv shows and movies.

I can't see myself being a van dweller but a tiny home liver yes. I would love to be able to get a tiny house on wheels and just travel. The van is good for a few days, and I bought my van a few months ago so when doing errans and such i didn't have to go home from work i could just go where i wanted and sleep there until ready, but thats hardly van dwelling.

Ah, see I am more of a reader than a collector. I do have a few prized possessions such as my 9.8 CGC of Deadpool's origin but other than that I mostly read them.

Last purge, I found out just how worthless comics are as collectibles. Cut down from 15 long-boxes to 2 full of favorites I just can't bring myself to get rid of. Haven't yet checked out the links, but thanks for posting them!

Hehehe.....   Same here.  I gave up comics in general once I discovered cars and girls.  But I do enjoy the occasional Adult Comic/Illustrated Novel, and enjoy the comic-based movies.  To each their own.  I am amazed at the prices some early comics bring, but I never kept them in 'collectible' condition anyway.

I was heavily into Marvel comics when I was younger.  I very much enjoy the current crop of Marvel movies.

At a later stage of my life, I got into the Underground comics - R. Crumb, Gilbert Shelton's "Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers", Vaughn Bode's "Cheech Wizard", Bobby London's "Dirty Duck"  . . .

I'm currently buying bound hardcover books of the old "Prince Valiant" strip.  I not only grew up reading them, my FATHER grew up reading them, and it's a real trip to read the old strips that I never saw because I wasn't born yet!

Regards
John

In the 80's, I really liked Bode too, Cheech Wizard being a favorite. I voraciously read Omni and Heavy Metal too. Loved the first Heavy Metal movie, the second not nearly so much.
In comics, I always was drawn more to Marvel than to DC, though I did like Superman and Batman (or is it "The Batman....?")
My main problem with the movies is that the character appearances and origin stories have often changed greatly from the time I read the comics, late 60's to mid 70's. But, things do progress. I have read some of the Wiki articles on some comics characters, and of Stan The Man Lee himself, and have seen how the characters do change as the writers and artists changed over the years. And they sometimes 'update' them for the new batch of readers.
Sometimes I have been known to watch the various animated comics series via Netflix and Hulu. Guess I am still a kid at heart, in my late fifties!

The comics are going digital too, just like dvds and books. Marvel already has a subscription service, im sure DC will follow if they haven't already. So thats an option of the space deprived van dweller.
