City boondocking...?

Hey Y'all my question is how to find free safe parking over night and weekends in city?

I'll repeat what I said in the other thread you asked this question.

I have often spent a night parked with or near the people working graveyard shift at a large grocery store. The stores are closed but there are usually about a dozen cars parked to one side.

I once got a knock on the door from a cop. I was in a roadside rest area on a remote section of highway. The kind with some asphalt, an outhouse and a bear-proof garbage can. I had been reading and he saw the light. He stopped to see if everything was OK and if I needed help. I said I was sleepy and needed to stop driving. He said good plan.
