This would be a pain to assemble and take down every time. Maybe just hook up the shower rings ($1) permanently to the roof of the van and then thread in the shower curtain ($1) when showering.

But I was thinking about using just a wide plastic container and a Coleman camp shower ($15) and be careful not to spray water outside of the container.

Placing it behind the windshield on the dash should turn it pretty hot in a few hours.

Greetings!

I use hula hoops for shower curtain rods...

They can be hung anywhere, even on your own shoulders or head.

If you want to get fancy, you can make a hands free shower like the last one too...

GrayWhale, have you considered the Simple Shower? Less expensive and more versatile than any solar shower (says the inventor ).

Boy did they pick the wrong picture for their main one on Amazon...

I looked at those, and it might be neat for some people, for me, I'm kind of attached to my simple dollar store spray bottles. I think they use less water, but you can still get as much as you want.

Years ago when I'd take a troop of scouts out into the woods, we had a plastic flower watering jug, which had a spigot with basically a shower head on it. We'd tie that to a tree, with a separate rope tied to the spigot. Pull the rope, shower on, release it, shower off. Worked really well, and painted black it heated the water for you too.

I wonder if that's where the idea for the modern day solar showers came from...

Cheers!

Whenever I don't have access to the showers at Pilot/Flying J, I use these sports bottles to wash my hair and brush my teeth. I keep 5 of them filled every time I stop at a truckstop. I just hold it over my head and let the water stream out of the pop top. One bottle is more than enough a bird bath.
