This video came out in July 2015. I wish I knew about this because I was after a durable, hard to kink garden hose that stores in half of the the space of a regular garden hose.

Garden hoses from the hardware store are heavy to drag, cumbersome, and they kink!! They are also a beast to roll up because they are so awkward and heavy. I found a smaller size hose that is rarely used as a garden hose and is popular in auto repair shops for air supply and it works absolutely great! You can build this garden hose yourself and is half the weight of a regular garden hose and won't kink! It's skinny and lightweight. Plenty of water still comes out! This garden hose is easy to pull around the yard without much effort and best of all it rolls up easily!

(Not my words, this is from the video description)

ok, but don't use it for potable water only use hoses approved drinking water hoses for potable water. highdesertranger

The post inspired me to see if anyone is selling an easy to store in a small space potable water hose. There is one, here is the link.

it is of course relatively expensive as many such new to the market introductory products tend to be.
There is a video review on it that can be seen from the link above.

But I can see one immediate draw back to the Clear Flow Hose, you can't leave it outside for very long as water in clear containers will quickly have algae growth develop. But it would be fine for filling a tank and then immediately putting the hose back into storage in a dark location. Because sunlight can go right through it and feed that algae growth this would not be something you could leave hooked up to city water while you stay in an RV park for several days or longer.

I have a lightweight, small diameter, air compressor hose. But I will be keeping it as an air compressor hose since I need it for that purpose.

This video is dumb. The hose doesn't not kink simply because it has a smaller inner diameter. It's not kinking because it is a reinforced hose and the wall thickness is in much higher in proportion to its inner diameter than a standard garden hose. If you folded that hose up and left it for a while it would kink just the same.

I did a heck of a lot of research on collapsing hoses. What I found is all of those collapsing hoses that have a stretchy tubing in the middle and a cloth covering, all of them eventually break. And by eventually I mean in just a couple months. I found nothing but terrible awful very bad reviews of every single brand of those things.

The only collapsible type hose that I found that got good reviews were those flat clear plastic hoses of the type that are listed in one of the previous posts that I replied to and said that's the one I would get.
