We are somewhere around Carlsbad. No idea where. Dog and I got food poisoning right after leaving San Antonio. The only thing we ate that DH did not was Slim Jims. No more Slim Jims for us! DH had to find a park without a navigator, back in to the site by himself, and set up alone. He hates doing the sewer lines. I am finally keepinng down water and Gatorade. Later, I'm going to go all out and try a jello cup.

As soon as I can stand up without getting dizzy, I will take a shower and take the bedding to the laundry. I can't even stand myself.

Hope today finds you and dog feeling better. You might live linger without those nasty Slim Jims...I'm a carnivore, but stay away from those grease sticks.

Sewer line is no big deal...usually a 5 minute job. I like my industrial rubber gloves and keep a pre-mixed bleach bottle in the hatch to rinse them after. All my plumbing stuff is in separate tubs and super easy to access. Often I just need the shorter stinky slinky used for dump sites that's kept in little door on the rear skirt. Done it so long I don't even think about it anymore.

Being kinda old and slow, most of the time I hook up in stages as I feel like it. Electric is always first, then Margie's TV antenna...keeps her from following me around, LOL. Later, water and the slinky when I get around to it between breaks. Its not work for me, its just part of my chosen lifestyle.
Oh wait, we're not talking about me...Well, there's no open flame involved **poke poke**

linger = longer...but it would be nice for you to linger longer with us :)

Uff!!

I had some food poisioning acouple weeks ago too.......YUK!! :p

I've always eaten dry toast whenever I'd had stomach ailments. It's helps absorb any nasty acids in there, and gives a bit of sustenance to fill you up...and is usually pretty cooperative with your plumbing. :)

Hope you guys feel better soon!

Sorry to hear about the food poisoning. Carlsbad is ok, but not very pooch friendly. I didn't stay since I couldn't see the sights without her. However I did stay here (http://carlsbadrvpark.com/), and they took really great care of me.

Is this Carlsbad, CA, or Carlsbad, NM? I like Brantley Lake State Park near Carlsbad, NM.

I'm pretty sure it's, Carlsbad NM. Carlsbad, CA would take longer to get to from San Antonio. With food poisoning you're gonna want to stop someplace where it's safe to rest for however long you might need as quickly as is possible.

So sorry that you are feeling poorly. Hope you and pup feel better soon!

Charcoal capsules work wonders!! Of course they don't work for everything so they may not work. But they are cheap and since they are natural they can't do any harm. Well worth a try at the first sign of a upset stomach.

Could be worse. You could have gotten sick in Artesia and TRIED to find a place to stay, which there are none and it's 30 miles to Roswell with the nearest RV parks. That's why we have so many oil field workers staying here in Roswell. The walk-in clinics are usually pretty good if you need a doctor. Other wise, if you are healthy, just ride it out. Don't eat slim jims. BTW, the Health Dept inspects restaurants on a Pass/Fail basis. I would stay away from NM restaurants if I were you. There is no such thing as "stomach flu", it's food poisoning. Get better, drink plenty of fluids. Slightly flat Gingerale will help settle your tummy (little sips)
