I have an old 1988 Cadillac that I loved, but it would no longer pass smog.
It occurred to me : has anyone ever taken the engine out of a car that is either no longer working or won't pass smog, to turn it into a little trailer?
The seats are supercomfy in this car, and if the front seats were taken out, I'm betting you could get a pretty large sized mattress in there.
Would it be possible to turn the engine storage compartment (ie under the hood) into some kind of storage space? Could one hook up a generator with the alternator? Or would it make more sense to leave the engine in but only use it while parked to recharge the battery?
If one could tow this, it could be a pretty sweet little tiny bedroom.
