can I install a grab bar on my dash?

Trying to picture using one of my retractable leashes to pull myself up LOL. I wouldn't mind having running boards or a pair of those cool U shaped steps. Considering the age of the van, they wouldn't look at all out of place. The price is the only thing that stops me. In Florida, I used to be able to go to the "Pick n Pull" and get parts. Here in the Northeast, I never see them. I've searched online junkyards for several things for the van (replacement ashtray) and can never find them. I'm actually pretty strong (think Brunhilda, good German stock) but at 5'1" a bit vertically challenged for the high van.

Hi Decodancer. I just put "New Hampshire Junk Yards Pick Your Own" into google and got a few places that still have pick and pull. Most seem to be in southern NH.
