<p style="margin: 0px;">Absolutly too cool! I'm sending the link to a muddy buddy jeeper girlfriend, she will love it.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"><b><font color="#00ff00">Dragonfly</font></b></p>

Cool, but Yikes! $53k! Sweet, but pricey. Check out some of the comments and follow the link to the the official jeep camper available through your dodge or jeep dealer for $9999 or $11000.

I figured this group could manufacture something cheaper. A lot of creative people.

<P>I can build about 15 for that price---now taking orders. $53,000? What market are they selling to??? I haven't struck any oil yet.</P>

I sure don't see the price justification even if the jeep were part of the deal. I'll stick with converting my 99 Jeep Cherokee into a trailer to tow with my built 97 Cherokee.

lampliter, maybe you could design one, then come up with step-by-step DIY plans for others to follow. I'd bet folks would pay you for those plans.

Come to think of it, I've never seen complete plans for an RV conversion, either. Not saying there aren't any, just that I've never seen them. Seems like a few members here could offer complete conversion plans for sale.

Mangy

Do an Internet search for old mechanics illustrated, popular mechanics and popular science plans online. The plans for campers could easily be modified and update, and the plans can be found free. Some websites collect and sell them for a nominal fee.

Like here....

Or, if you have measurements, people here could probably sketch together a frame and exterior diagram for a homemade shell.

Conversion plans $22

<P>Mangy-You read my mind-I've been working on plans to convert my 93 Chrysler LeBaron Le into a complete self-contained vehicle--maybe I'll name it American Custom Camper Car or something. Will do pics as it progresses.</P>

Lol. I just got rid of a 91 Caprice wagon because it was going to need tranny work before long. Had drawn up plans to put a high top on it. Not practical, but would have looked neat.

Kinda makes me happy looking at this. My project ( Ford Expedition ) is near completion, I'm guessing I've put a few thousand into it over the winter, so seeing the $53k price tag of the Jeep version gives me the warm fuzzies about mine.<br><br>When it IS complete I'll post pics....promise.<br>

Lookingbforwardntomthe pics

Ummm. What language just came out of my keyboard lol?

<p style="margin: 0px;">Seraphim,</p><p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;">When that happens to me, I know it's time to vacuum the crumbs out of the keyboard! <img border="0" align="absmiddle" src="/images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif"></p><p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;">Bob</p>

It's an iPad. If you can explain how to vacuum the crumbs out of the keyboard, I'd certainly be interested in the technique *grin*

<p style="margin: 0px;">Seraphim,</p><p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;">I suspect ...</p><p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;">"THERES AN APP FOR THAT!!!"</p><p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;">Bob</p>
