Hello everyone! My name is Andrew. I currently live in Memphis TN and am planning my escape from corporate America. One of the cornerstones of this plan is moving into a boxtruck fulltime. I would like to buy a 20-24 ft diesel box truck. Planning on putting solar on the roof, being able to carry 60 + gallons of water and my 2 motorcycles in the back. After that, there won't be much keeping me here which is good because the mountains are calling. Looking forward to learning from everyone here.   :)

I ran a Lumber company & when we needed trucks I bought like new box trucks & even had one converted to a 20' dump flatbed from Penske. 20' or 24' boxes, Alison Auto trans. seriously looked & worked like new. They'd have 40 or 50 to choose from. Last ones I bought was 10 yrars ago for $12,000 each, they were about $40,000 new & these looked it. If you need it I have a brand new in the crate 8'x4' 4000# cap elect/hyd fold under lift gate complete & cheap.

Just so you know, 60 gallons of water weighs 498 pounds. Your plan sounds great, I would like to plan a box truck situation myself, keep us informed as you work things through!
