Right now, I'm finding the 100ah lipo's from 900 to 1100 dollars.
If they came down to around 600, I'd definitely go that route.

Be clear on the distinction between "drop-in" and bare cells intended for an external BMS.

The former seem convenient but need to be careful wrt charging infrastructure.

I was looking at the drop in ones from bioenno power, and battle born.

I'm not ready to make the jump to lithium, although the lighter weight, and more capacity, for size is appealing.

I'm building a micro camper, and space is a premium.

Make sure there's at least a small lead batt in line to prevent surges, diode blowouts for when the internal BMS isolates while charging.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

I still have lots to learn, before I decide which battery type to use.

I was really excited about the firefly, as a good compromise between the agm and lithium.

yes much less of an investment risk, but still need to know what you're about

As far as my setup?

I'm going to have to try that, because when the bms cuts off power, it won't let power through but the controller still reads 11 volts. The controller will try to forcefully charge the battery and voltage will surge pass 15 volts, I blew out around 4 fans on my swampcoolers. It put me off on charging lithium with solar.

Unless you have a way to charge the lithiums every day, they aint as convenient as lead acid. Its a lesson I'm learning.

They should be a lot **more** convenient with a large enough bank and once set up properly, but that is an involved and expensive path.
