I only use the generator/electric heater on cold nights after a bad solar day (too cloudy for panels to recharge my batteries fully) and no one else is around to bother with generator noise. Otherwise I use a Mr Buddy. I was curious as to the costs so on a windy rainy day, to combat boredom, lol, I did the math.

12:05 a.m, I was awakened by loud snoring next to my ear :)

It amazes me how such little critters can make so much noise at times.  Sometimes if Q has eaten something that hasn't agreed with her she gets "Squirrels in Her Belly"  You can hear the rumbling from 3 or 4ft away if it's really quiet.  When she plops down against me in the middle of the night it feels like a brick has just landed.  She weighs just under 11lbs,  she was close to 13lbs before.  Have your girls seen any of  the coast creatures?  What do they think, I wonder?

Queenie saw a possum one night.  She knew that wasn't a woods kitty.  She growled down in her chest and the hair along her spine stood up.  It took no urging to get her back inside that time.

Jewellann... lol on the growling insides :). Seagulls are what the girls get all excited about on the coast. Take care

Well, made a spur of the moment decision and headed west the other day. Presently in El Paso Tx and will be visiting a couple days with my sister in Tucson. Then on to Yuma for awhile before heading to the RTR. The girls and I aren’t much for large gatherings but decided we’ll at least give it a go. Hope to meet some of you there.

Yay !!! I'm glad your coming. It's always nice to meet the pups and their people in person when you have been following their adventures. Safe travels!

Great, you can give me all the tips on where to find the best camping on the Gulf Coast.... :)

Also glad to hear that, I will be heading there after spending Christmas with my daughter/granddaughter in Fort Worth. Be interesting to compare transit van build and tips on Alaska trip. Here is my traveling companion, good company and well behaved.
