A somewhat skeptical, somewhat curmudeonly, somewhat admiring view of vandwelling, published in a short article on bloomberg.com on June 28:

bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-06-28/we-can-t-all-live-in-tricked-out-volkswagen-vanagons

When he mentions the cost of a Mercedes Sprinter van all tricked-out for van life, he says: "Basically, people with money eventually ruin everything, and now they've gentrified sleeping in a van by the side of the road."

Haha! Although I don't like to villify people with money just because they have it, that made me chuckle. I thought the article was interesting.

^^^ absolutely. Yesterday, I was looking around for "gems" and what they want for a piece of non-working junk is speechless. Not what I would particularly call a diamond in the rough.
