I'm looking for material to make two mattresses (roughly 150cm x 100cm each) for a pull out bed.  Since nobody sells mattresses in these dimensions, I'd like to know if anyone had any ideas about what other material I could use as mattresses that I could trim/cut to the specified dimensions.

The pull out bed is going to come out long ways, rather than the standard side ways.

Thank you for reading.

My full size mattress was a little too wide for my bed area. It is a 10" thick mattress made of foam. I just unzipped the cover and cut it to size with an electric knife. I then glued a 2" memory foam pad to the top and zipped it back up. You should be able to trim any foam (not coil spring) mattress to any size you need.

Any upholstery shop will be able to cut foam to your specifications. Foam comes in varying thicknesses and densities (firmness).

I use sofa foam for my mattress because I like a firm mattress.

And you'll need a firmer density than you probably think, even if you like soft mattresses. Otherwise the foam squishes down so you have a thin hard layer under you.

been using a custom cut (with an electric knife) 3" natural latex x firm only, it is firm enough to cushion my body 5-10 158 lbs

You spend how many hours in a bed? for 1/3 rd. of my life is worth whatever it takes.
