There are some many different color standard it matters most that you choose a scheme, write it down in your Build Book, and stick to it. The wiring in my Motorhome conversion is rather complex and evolved over five years. As I was wiring the beast I documented everything as I did it, or "as built" as opposed to "as designed."

Making mods to the various systems five years later my documents and diagrams more than once. Try to develop the discipline to write stuff down; someday in the future you'll need it, and will impress yourself with how smart you were!

Speed nailed the keep good detailed records angle.
If you don't have one get a meter so you can find which is hot and ground among the existing wiring and for troubleshooting in the future. Even a cheapo will do.
